This house was perfect for 3 families. We really enjoyed the open living space and back patio. The kids loved riding all the bikes and playing ping pong in the garage. -

Sunriver is an amazing area for families, something to do for all generations. The house was spacious and clean, and appreciated all of the extra amenities such extra kitchen supplies, bikes, toys, SHRAC passes.. -

This is a beautiful home with beautiful furnishings. There are several bar seats around the kitchen as well as a roomy table for 8, plus an outdoor table on the patio. We enjoyed the hot tub, the 12 SHARC passes, the numerous bikes--there were children's bikes of all sizes and a Burley for the baby, as well as plenty adult bikes. Sunriver is a wonderful place to ride bikes--miles and miles of trails around the area.
The home had a master bedroom with a large walk-in closet that was able to double as the "baby's room." A second room with a king size bed also had its own bathroom. One of the rooms upstairs had a bunk over a full/queen size bed, and a twin, so one of our families all fit into that room. Another room with a queen and still another with 2 bunk beds made for plenty of room for all of us. We only wish we could have stayed longer.
There were lots of games, movies, books; we saw an X-box that we never had a chance to try! The kitchen is fabulous with everything you would want including a gas stove. Our boys made good use of the ping pong table in the garage, and the basketball hoop in the driveway. You will not regret staying in this lovely home. We thoroughly enjoyed it. -

My family travels a lot of and frequently rents private homes for reunions. Northwood Lodge was perfect for our large family gathering and far and away the best property we've ever rented. There were tons of bikes available so we had no trouble finding one that would fit everyone - that alone was a huge savings! And, to our delight and surprise, the perfectly organized and brilliantly equipped kitchen even included pantry staples such as oil, vinegar, spices, etc. It was so nice not to have to spend money on those items we absolutely needed to cook a meal but would only use a small amount of during our stay.
The owner was very responsive. When I reported that one of the tag-along bike trailers was broken, really just because I wanted them to know that my group hadn't done it, someone arrived the next morning and had it repaired before lunch. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of towels, and even a high chair and pack 'n play for the baby. I can't think of a single eating that anyone would need that this house didn't have. We'll definitely be renting this house again in the future! -

We had 11 women in the house for our annual Sisters weekend and everyone had a place to sleep and call home. Plenty of bathrooms and everything we needed to cook our meals in the kitchen. It was also nice having a second refrigerator in the garage! We also loved the bikes and wonderful trails in the development. Thank you!!! -

We loved our stay! My husband and I and our 8 adult children (counting the inlaws) were very comfortable in this home. The dining table was large enough for all of us, as was the livingroom. We enjoyed a rousing game of Scattergories in front of the fire. The kitchen was stocked with just about anything you would need. The bikes were well maintained. We'd definitely stay here again! -

Wonderful time with the grandchildren, 8,9 and 10 years old, some of there parents and my son who was home with time off.
The house was very clean. It was easy for all of us to be comfortable inside. The beds worked out very well even for me who always brings my own mat to sleep on the floor because I am bed challenged. The outside spaces looked great. The hot tub was great but used only once. Unfortunately the smoke was thick during our stay. The only thing that we missed was a smart TV but did bring one ROKU which we used in the living area. We never felt crimped in the space. There were 8 of us there. We easily parked 3 cars without using the garage.
The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we looked for. I can't think of anything it did not have that might have been needed. There was an extra refrigerator in the garage to store extra perishables we had with us which kept the main kitchen refrigerator from being overcrowded. There were also many spices and other condiments in the pantry cabinets.
The location at the north end of Sun River allowed us to enjoy the quiet, very dark cool nights for great sleep. At the North end of Sun River, you do not encounter all of the vehicle and bike traffic that is closer to the village. It is only a short 2 1/2 mile easy bike ride to the village for the entertainment, food, stores and the Shark (which the kids loved and thanks for the passes). Ft Rock Park is very close as is the river. The North Store is an easy walk.
The bicycles were wonderful to have available. It kept us from have to transport ours or renting several bikes. We all rode many times to the village, to the river and to Benham Falls. Sun River is a great places to bike with all of the trails and the patients to car drivers encountered at intersections. The kids were always riding around and around the cul de sac. It is an absolute great place to teach the kids to ride, read a map, look at road signs and give them freedom to be off on there own.
I have been bringing my children to Sun River since 1969 when I was in college in the Willamette Valley. After moving back to Washington we have kept coming to Sun River. I can't think of a better place to be with children for a relaxing vacation.
I have rented many condos, house and a full time townhouse rental for six years before the grandchildren. North Woods Lodge overall for location, size, kitchen, bikes is the best. -

Our family loved this home! Here are a few of the specific reasons: 1) wonderful layout, with huge open living room/kitchen/dining area; 2) great location on a quiet cul-de-sac on the north side of Sunriver; 3) the most fully-equipped kitchen/laundry we've ever seen in our years of renting in Sunriver (and we've been going there for generations!); 4) passes for everyone in the family to the pool and tennis courts; 5) one-minute walk to the north store on the path behind the house, which came in VERY handy! 6) foosball, ping pong, and games galore; 7) great bikes that were excellently maintained. Overall, the Northwoods Lodge far exceeded our expectations, and we definitely hope to return!

We have spent our family vacations at different HomeAway locations, but this Sunriver home is now at the top of our list. We were impressed at how well maintenced it was and how stocked it was with the necessary items for cooking meals. We have decided that we’d love to make this our Sunriver rental to return to each year! -

We brought our family from Toronto, Indianapolis, Kentucky and California together for a family reunion. We flew one family into the Redmond Airport. What a nice airport!! We found this home on VRBO and it was more than we expected! It was so nicely decorated, clean, all beds and linens were very nice, and the best stocked kitchen with every appliance, plates, bowls you could possibly need. It is so convenient to the highway, shopping, grocery, and swimming. We used the many bikes provided, the ping pong table, the swimming/tennis passes, and the kids loved the Nintendo. We were a party of 12 and had plenty of space for all. Oh, and did I mention the hot tub! We did a trivia night in Bend, hiked to several waterfalls, sat in a hot spring off a river, hiked into the lava tube. I would love if our family could gather again here!

We loved our stay. This house is in a quiet location that is very close to the north store. The house is comfortable, well updated, and spacious. Lots of well-kept bikes that everyone enjoyed taking for a ride. Maybe most importantly, all the beds were very comfortable. Highly recommended. Quinn H.

This was the second time a group of us have stayed at the lodge, and it was great! It had all of the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay. We even found there was a store about 100 yards behind the house, which was really convenient! If you have the opportunity to rent the lodge, I highly suggest it. This house has single beds for 8 people, in addition to 3 king/queen beds. This is great if you have single friends, relatives or kids. The kitchen also comes equipped with everything to feed a crowd.

Three generations of skiers found this house perfect for a memorable winter vacation week. We went to Mt. Bachelor four of the seven days - great skiing with no crowds during the week. Recommend the 3 out of 5 day pass.
We loved the quiet location, beautiful decoration and wonderfully stocked home. Convenient to everything - grocery store is within quick walking distance. The two masters on the main floor was a plus. Grandchildren played upstairs while adults were on the main floor. Lots of room for everyone to spread out. The owners have gone out of their way to equip the home with everything we needed and more.
We frequently use vacation rentals and this is one of the best we have seen. Well stocked spice cupboard and commercial quality pots and pans were especially appreciated. We enjoyed making meals in the beautifully appointed kitchen. Granite counters, long table for 10+ additional bar seating made this home a great gathering place for us and relatives who were staying in a smaller home nearby. Internet service was excellent, even with four computers on at a time Hot tub was super. Great laundry facilities. We loved that each room is decorated with a theme, skiing, golf, fishing, etc.

We arrived at Northwoods Lodge on a gorgeous, snowy evening, and were greeted by a beautifully appointed, warm and welcoming home. The lodge felt like a home, not like some of the rentals we've used before, and very comfortably accommodated our three familes (13 total).
The kitchen was beautiful, was easy to maneuver in even for 3 to 4 cooks, and was extremely well-equipped, far better than my kitchen at home! There was ample dining space and seating for all of us. All the bedrooms were equipped with very comfortable beds, plush bedding and nice furniture; the bathrooms were also well appointed with a seemingly endless supply of plush towels. All of the appliances in the home, small and large, were top of the line.
And although there was plenty of room to park in the garage, it was loaded with summer fun equipment (bikes, bbq, etc.). In short, our families (6 adults and 7 kids) had a wonderful stay, and thoroughly enjoyed the house and all it had to offer (including a huge hot tub!). We will definitely book this house again when we're in the market for a Sunriver rental, and would recommend it even to the pickiest and most discriminating travellers! -

It isn't often that vacation lodging exceeds expectations, but your home certainly did. We all appreciated having such a spacious, well-designed and well stocked home to use as our base. It was so nice to come home to after skiing that I'm afraid we became couch potatoes more often than not! We have stayed at many homes in Sunriver and this one is by far THE BEST!! What great thought and detail into every aspect of this home. We can hardly wait to come back!!! The youngsters in our party appreciated the baby play yard and the high chair. The older "kids" enjoyed the hot tub, pool table and surround sound movie set-up. This house is stocked with everything you could possibly need and more! The house is clean and decorated beautifully while remaining cozy and welcoming. Everything was as promised in the listing and even better when you get there. We skiied and went for a Sled Dog ride at Mt Bachelor, ice skated and rented skiis in the Sunriver villiage, shopped and ate out in Bend, relaxed in the hot tub and living room and enjoyed meals in the fabulous kitchen! The store being walking distance was a big plus also! I would highly recommend this property to anyone headed to Sunriver!
